WIth the global travel industry continuing to suffer the effects of the Covid-19 crisis, we ask industry leaders to give their view of the current situation and their outlook for the coming year.

ROSI PRADO DE HOLGUÍN

Minister of Tourism of Ecuador

Rosi Prado De Holguín is a businesswoman with extensive experience in tourism. She served in the Sales Management of American Airlines and Eastern Airlines, and in the Commercial Management of Tame, among other management positions.

She was President of the Quito Convention Bureau and the Tourism Committee of the Ecuadorian-American Chamber of Commerce, as well as being a member of the Board of several organizations related to tourism.
She was also President of the International Federation of Tourism Business Executives Associations (FIASEET).

On December 3, 2018, she was appointed as Minister of Tourism of Ecuador, a position she holds to date.

Caroline Moultrie

Caroline Moultrie is the Managing Director of MMGY Hills Balfour and is an award-winning travel & tourism professional with over 20 years of experience. Caroline has held leadership positions on some of the world’s most renowned brands including the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Virgin Atlantic Airways and Manchester Airport Group.

Widely regarded as a thought leader in the Travel & Tourism strategy and storytelling space, she is a seasoned Travel & Tourism professional and global business leader and has established senior level contacts across all industries in the sector.

Colin Stewart

Colin Stewart has been Chairman of LATA, the Latin American Travel Association, since September 2017. During his tenure the association has significantly increased its activities, with industry-leading initiatives including the launch of the LATA Academy on the industry’s leading agent training platform, and developing LATA Expo into Europe’s leading B2B event for the Latin American travel sector.

As Country Director of Air Europa he has led the airline’s growth in the UK & Ireland for the past ten years to make Air Europa one of the world’s leading airlines serving Latin America. Having started with only 3 Latin American destinations on offer, over the last ten years the network has grown and now serves over 20 destinations to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Ignacio Masias

Ignacio Masias is the CEO and founder of Andean Experience, a Peruvian Travel organisation that develops and operates independent high-end hotels and unique travel experiences in Peru (Titilaka on Lake Titicaca, Cirqa in the City of Arequipa, Atemporal in Lima and Peru Empire a specialized DMC for high end travel in Peru).

He previously worked for the Inkaterra Group, the Peruvian Government and prior to that in Finance and Strategy Consulting. 

He is current a member of the board of Relais & Chateaux representing the Latin American delegation.

Ignacio has an MBA from Wharton and a Bachelor´s degree from Cornell University. He currently lives in Lima.

Sarah Bradley

Sarah Bradley is Managing Director of Journey Latin America, the UK’s No.1 specialist, offering personalised tailor-made holidays and escorted small-group tours to all parts of Latin America and Antarctica.

Sarah has previously served on the LATA committee, including as chair, and currently sits on the Council of AITO, the Specialist Travel Association.

Sarah has an MBA and a BA Hons in Modern Languages.
